Can a guy get any more respect? Weis is pushing hard to get Quinn selected high in the draft. Just like Fasano going to the Cowboys in last years draft has gotten the TE position at ND exposure, Quinn going early is a great boost for Notre Dame and the program.

"I like this guy [Russell] at LSU," he said. "I think he's got rare talent throwing the football. His size, his mobility and his quick arm remind me of Ben Roethlisberger. The other guy [Brady] is a Type A guy, he's a winner. He's the hardest-working guy maybe in this draft. He does sit-ups, I think, at halftime. The guy's working around the clock. He's got a burning desire to be the best." John Gruden (Tampa Tribune)

Russell (6-foot-6, 265 pounds) is bigger than Quinn (6-4, 232) and is one of the best pure passers in college history.
Huh? What the %#&*K? Who said that? Pure passer means "strong arm"? C'mon!
It is from an Article on Detroit News.com. It isn't in Quotes, so Kiffin probably did not say it, but somebody did.
Remember Rush Limbaughs trouble?
Picking up Russell to the level of Demi-God is a problem for a lot of people. Only time will tell if Rush was right or if he was wrong. Everyone has Russell as the number one pick in the draft, or at least the number one QB picked. This is all based on a win over the 80+ ranked defense of the Fightin Irish in the Sugar Bowl. If you want to base a persons next ten years on one game, at least make it against a formiddable opponent.
If you want to name a Demi God, Brady is your man. Let's wait until the NFL Season kicks off and see who is where and what they are doing.
Brady Quinn ran forties of 4.82 and 4.73 at his second Pro Day.
Source: nfl.com
On March 22, Quinn weighed in 233 pounds. He ran indoors on FieldTurf. He ran his 40s faster than expected (4.82 and 4.73). He also ran the short shuttle in 4.22 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.79 (with tiny cones, not tall ones). In addition, he had a 36-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-7 broad jump.
Quinn's 20 yard shuttle of 4.22 is .36 seconds faster than Marshawn Lynch at the Combine. We have a hard time seeing Quinn fall out of the top three.

Quinn and the Lions -- (DN)
From New York Daily News...Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn is all over the board for the April 28 draft. The Raiders are expected to take LSU QB JaMarcus Russell with the first pick. The Lions, at No. 2, won't take a quarterback in the first round until they get over the trauma of the Joey Harrington experience, which will be in 10-20 years. If the Lions take Wisconsin OT Joe Thomas and don't trade down to a team that wants Quinn, then the first potential landing spot for Quinn, an Ohio product, is Cleveland at No. 3. But the Browns are leaning toward Oklahoma RB Adrian Peterson even though last week they signed just Jamal Lewis, who is just about used up. It's a one-year deal. The Vikings (7th), Texans (8th) and Dolphins (9th) could each try to move up for Quinn or hope he falls to them. The Texans are ready to move Carr.
The Vikings weren't the only team with a big delegation -- including owner Zygi Wilf -- at the workout of Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn in South Bend, Ind., on Sunday. The Browns had an equally large group there, including their owner. The Browns draft third, four spots ahead of the Vikings. Houston, which drafts eighth, has talked to teams about moving up so it can draft Quinn, who did a good job of selling himself on Sunday. -- (ST)
The Florida Gators became the first Southeastern Conference team to win six in a row against the Wildcats. Only Notre Dame has won seven straight against the storied program. -- (SAR)
