Russell’s red flags could make Quinn the first QB drafted in ’07

In the minds of many evaluators, including PFW resident draft analyst Nolan Nawrocki, there is a considerable gap between QBs JaMarcus Russell and Brady Quinn.

QUINN #1 -- (PFW)

This is exactly what I wrote earlier this week. Russell has only started 29 games and is known for his "Momentary Lapse in Reasoning" issues.

He comes into the Combine at 260+ and looks like he has a tire around his waist. He doesn't perform any testing other than Height and Weight, same as Quinn, but Quinn is ridiculed and pestered.

Brady Quinn comes to the camp in the best shape of most players out there. He performs the Bench Press part of the combine and now holds the QB record at 24 reps with 225 pounds.

Quinn, Like Russell will perform at their schools pro days in the coming weeks. It will be interesting to see the sides the Media takes in the hype of Russell. Will they follow suit and continue to bash Quinn and relay to the masses that his "stock" is falling, or will they turn it on Russell?

I foresee a continuation of the Quinn bashing with Russell being the one that actually is falling of the face of the First Round. This being said before Wonderlic Scores are released.

My word to the media is this. Continue what you do, because it will make Brady Quinns stock rise. Owners and General Managers are all on the same page. And that page is written in South Bend.
