With all the hoopla surrounding Mr. White's Departure, I thought of a few things that did not make sense. Most of us did not like the way he ran the program as far as scheduling and administrative goofs. The Willingham debacle is blamed on the "BOT" and White came out and did not support the decision. Why would he, he hired O'Leary and fired O'Leary, Hired Ty and then decided to take the "Politically Correct" road.

He has scheduled the Irish into oblivion and did not seem to understand the Notre Dame air of mystery or the Mystique of Touchdown Jesus. He did not even get the "Luck O' The Irish". All this can only lead to one road. And that road leads out of South Bend Indiana. Where it goes does not matter. As long as it goes.

So now the Dukies will have him. He cannot destroy a football team that is where the Blue Devils are and there is NO way he can mess up the BBall program. You probably will see an increase in 1AA opponents for the Dukies.

Here is an article from Charlotte that I thought very very interesting. Especially in the middle section or the writers conclusion about why White left ND. Same reasons as I gave, but unlike me who thought the same reasons were great opportunities for the Irish to get rid of White. The Observer writer seems to think that these are good things and a strong support for the hire.
