Koyack certainly seems to fit the part of a tight end and even his name sounds like the name of a good tight end.

Ready for the Sun Bowl

Speculation on a QB at ND is beginning, but one thing is certain. If Brian Kelly gets his guy in there, ND will be a better football team. Read

Save Jimmy Johnson's Ass For Me!

Cloak of darkness

In a recent story, Notre Dame has issued a STATEMENTthat basically says we are not governed by NORMAL police investigations.

We yell and scream when other institutions cover up for athletes and now we are that institution.

A young girl has died, a football player is accused of assault prior to her suicide. Whether on has anything to do with the other, Notre Dame is on damage control and it has the feeling of a story similiar to the Davinci Code and the Knights Templar

I don't think the football player should be held accountable unless proven otherwise, but the attack was not investigated as it should have been. Too many girls/women are attacked and a lot of them do not report incidents because of shame, embarassment and bullying. Let's hope the University does the right thing and let the investigation continue unimpeded.

Everett Golson

For those of you who don't know, Golson committed to the Irish after he committed to UNC. He like something about Brian Kelly's offense and watching this film, you can see why. He is a sterotypical Kelly QB. He can run, but not necessarily looking to run first.

Check this Tony Pike video out and then look at Golson. Notice the similiarity in motions. He will be a very good QB in this system and I think we can win with him more so than Hendrix, Crist and or Rees.

NO Nude beaches

It seems that the Sun Bowl got it right, and they are very very happy. All tickets have been Sold Out the fastest in Bowl history. Kelly last took a team to a bowl, ironically, in Miami and got stomped by VaTech. This time around Kelly says he has a good feeling and El Paso fits right into his master plan. El Paso has no beaches, Kelly Says NO Nude Beaches Help Irish. He is all about work and after righting the ship (sort of), he is getting to work.

Champs or Sun, What do you prefer

We are wanted. Even after a 7-5 run in 2010, bowl committees are still after a dream matchup. The Sun Bowl would love to see Us take on The "U". For what it's worth, so would I. These are two storied programs, ours a little older in tradition, that had some great games in the past. With Miami letting Randy Shannon go, the team will have to respond well in a bowl. With Gruden an conclusive NO, the team searches on for their next coach. As ND fans, we can absolutely understand the feelings. I think the Sun is a good place to end the season and an 8-5 finish for our Irish.
This matchup is great for College football. The world is a better place when ND and the "U" are hated becasue they are winning.

In 2006 ND got beat up by a pretty good ScUM team. They went on to win 8 in a row, before falling in the final two games. If this team can go on and win out, only losing to FuSC (in a tight match) the coaching staff, along with the players will have shown heart. I believe we have the talent to win. I just don't believe we have the coaching to win.

After watching the game over and over, there is one thing that sticks out, and this thing has stuck out for a long time here in Irish Land. We play S.L.O.W., especially on Defense.

Watching the "U" last night, granted they played a pretty poor Ga Tech team, showed me how fast a team can play. We have the athletes on both sides of the ball, we just don't have the desire to do what needs to be done.

I have mentioned on this site and others that ND is lacking in two areas of recruiting. OL and especially DL. We don't have the "Allen Bailey" type or the Marcus Forston on the line.

I use UM as a scope because the coach, Randy Shannon is in his 3rd year and under fire down here, until now. They may not win the ACC, but they are playing football the way it's suppose to be played. Fast and with a furious emotional passion. Something ND has not had in a long time.

ND has always played with the emotion of their coach. Holtz led teams played with discipline and fire. Davie and Willingham led teams played with fear and learned how to lose with grace. Weis led teams have, so far, played with his emotion, NONE. Recruiting has been up, but the play on the field leaves a lot to be desired. If we can put up 40+/game, we will have a chance to get pummelled in a New Years Day Bowl.

The top teams have two things in common:
1. Recruiting the top athletes from around the country

2. Coaches that coach with passion

And in the current atmosphere of College Football. One out of Two is just not enough.
